Soil moisture for irrigation pros

Know what's happening in the root zone.

BLADE™ reads soil moisture at two depths every 15 minutes, so you can nerd out on how each watering lands, adjust with confidence, and hand your client proof that it worked.

Landscape contractors

Stop guessing on runtimes. Check every property from the truck before you roll a crew.

Irrigation managers

See which zones are over-watering and which are starving, across every site, on one screen.

Property owners

Get independent proof that your landscape got the water it needed, and no more.

Built for the field. Not the lab.

Push in, tap, done

No trenching, no wiring, no buttons, no controller tie-in. A magnet tap wakes it up.

Two depths, one probe

Sensing zones at 3 and 6 inches show whether water stopped at the surface or reached the roots.

MODURA average soil moisture card: 30.4 percent, updated 1 minute ago, with a 7-day chart between full and refill lines

Readings every 15 minutes

Straight to the MODURA app on your phone. Visit the sites that need you, skip the ones that don't.

Ease of use

Three steps. No tools.

  1. Step 1

    Place it

Push the blade into the root zone of the zone you want to watch.

  2. Step 2

    Tap to wake

Touch the top with the carabiner magnet. It flashes while it joins the network and stops once connected.

  3. Step 3

    Add it in the app

Tap Add Device and enter the six-character KEY on the label. Readings appear within 1–2 minutes.

Never-before-seen insights

Watch every watering cycle land, or miss.

A controller tells you a valve opened. BLADE™ tells you what the soil did about it, at 3 and 6 inches.

Did the water reach the roots?

When the 3-inch line spikes and the 6-inch line barely moves, the cycle stopped short.

Full and refill, learned per sensor

BLADE™ learns each spot's own full and refill points from its wetting cycles. No soil lab, no guessing.

When does it actually need water?

The dry-down toward refill shows the real interval, not the guess on the controller.

MODURA chart of soil moisture at 3 and 6 inches over 30 days, with full and refill lines; the 3-inch line spikes after watering while the 6-inch line rises less
Real MODURA data: purple is 3 inches, teal is 6 inches.

The MODURA app

Soil, weather and turf. One screen.

BLADE™ readings land in MODURA next to site weather, evapotranspiration and turf disease models, so every decision has the full picture behind it.

Verification for your clients

Your work, proven.

Every watering shows up as a dated wetting event, with rain and irrigation told apart. When a client asks why the lawn browned or the water bill jumped, you answer with a record, not an opinion.

It's a care record for owners and insurers, and a maintenance contract they can see.

How we make BLADE™

Built by hand. Sealed for good.

Every BLADE™ is printed, assembled and potted in-house, about an hour of hands-on work each. Roughly three quarters of the cost stays domestic.

Fully potted

Filled with electrical epoxy, like a two-wire decoder. It can sit underwater.

No buttons

A sealed magnetic switch turns it on and off. Nothing to leak.

Years on two cells

It sleeps between readings and wakes every 15 minutes to report.

Secured over the air

Unique LoRaWAN keys per sensor, never reused.
